Bentone® DY CE

Bentone® DY CE by Elementis is an organically modified and beneficiated smectite clay-based rheological additive. It offers efficient low shear thickening, very good suspension, compatibility with other class of thickeners, coalescents, synthetic resin dispersions, and non-ionic and anionic wetting agents.

• It imparts high in-can viscosity, reproducible thixotropic flow.
• It develops stable viscosity without post-thickening.
• It prevents hard settlement of pigments/fillers.
• It reduces phase separation and maintains open time.
• It exhibits easy incorporation and dispersibility.
• Bentone® DY CE is used in decorative emulsion paints, plaster-type compounds, silicate paints and waterborne epoxy coatings.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.3-1.5%.
• It has a shelf life of 2 years.
