Foam Blast® 590E by DyStar is a high-performance, low-VOC, non-ionic, synthetic polyol-based defoamer. It is a mineral oil-, silicone- & particulate-free, highly dispersible additive designed for immediate foam knockdown and durable foam suppression.
  • It is recommended for water-based coatings, inks and pigment dispersions.
  • It provides excellent performance, compatibility and age stability at lower addition rates compared to conventional mineral oil-based products.
  • It does not cause swelling of rubber rolls or flexographic printing plates.
  • It is unaffected by temperatures from 40 to 180°F (5-85°C).
  • Foam Blast® 590E is suitable for indirect food contact applications in compliance with FDA 21 CFR 175.105, 175.300, 176.170, 176.180 and 176.210.
  • The recommended dosage level is 0.1 to 0.3% based on total coating weight.
