DOWSIL™ 8016

DOWSIL™ 8016 by Dow is a low VOC, non-flammable, oven curable silicone resin emulsion. Designed for use as a film former for pigmented coatings and paints. Suitable for air drying with tin-free condensation catalysts as two-component cure system and high temperature resistant water-borne coatings. It has low contribution to odor and offers elevated coating hardness for metal substrates protection. It achieves high paint performance and aesthetics without solvent or coalescent. It enables exceptional sustainability profile and facilitated environmental compliance compared to traditional solvent-based formulations. Shows excellent compatibility with organic polymer emulsions such as acrylate dispersions. DOWSIL™ 8016 has a shelf life of 365 days.
