DOWSIL™ 401LS Additive

DOWSIL™ 401LS Additive by Dow is a high performance silicone polyether copolymer. Acts as a slip control and flow/levelling agent. Provides good flow, leveling and slip with good recoatability in solventborne as well as waterborne coatings, inks and overprint varnishes. It is BTX- and VOC-free. Lowers the coefficient of friction to lower slip and improves the wetting and hand feel. Has superior compatibility for clear coats. It has very low freeze point for easy storage and is compatible with water-based acrylic, styrene acrylic and VAE binder systems. DOWSIL™ 401LS Additive is used in pigmented as well as clear coat formulations, wood & plastic coatings, inks and overprint varnishes. Compliant with legislation for food packaging inks. Recommended dosage level ranges from 0.05-0.2%.
