KATHON™ LX 1.5% was earlier part of Dow and has been sold off to LANXESS. KATHON™ LX 1.5% is a microbiocide used for in-can preservation. It helps to control bacteria and fungi in the manufacturing and storage of dispersed pigments. KATHON™ LX 1.5% is used in latex paints, inks, aqueous industrial coatings, polymer latices and dispersed pigments.
