DISPERBYK® -2081

DISPERBYK® -2081 by BYK acts as a wetting and dispersing agent for titanium dioxide, inorganic pigments and fillers in aqueous coating systems. It helps to deflocculate the pigments to increase the gloss and reduces millbase viscosity. It is hydrophobic in nature which improves stain and corrosion resistance. It is recommended for water-based coatings such as wood & furniture coatings, anti-corrosive primers and direct-to-metal systems. DISPERBYK® -2081 is also suitable for architectural, industrial and automotive coatings. Its recommended dosage level for filler and anti-corrosive pigment is 3-6%, inorganic pigment is 10-20% and titanium dioxide is 3-6%. It has a shelf life of 36 months.
