DISPERBYK® -2080

DISPERBYK® -2080 by BYK acts as a wetting and dispersing agent for titanium dioxide, inorganic pigments and fillers in aqueous coating systems. It is a solution of copolymer containing pigment affinity groups. It helps to deflocculate the pigments to increase the gloss and reduces millbase viscosity. It is hydrophobic in nature which improves stain and corrosion resistance. It is recommended for water-based anti-corrosive primers and direct-to-metal light anti-corrosion coating systems. DISPERBYK® -2080 is also suitable for wood and furniture-, architectural-, industrial- and automotive coatings. Its recommended dosage level for filler and anti-corrosive pigment is 3-6%, inorganic pigment is 10-27% and titanium dioxide is 3-6%. It has a shelf life of 20 months.
