DISPERBYK® -170 TF

DISPERBYK® -170 TF by BYK is a tin-free, wetting and dispersing agent for solvent-borne coatings. Its high molecular weight helps to stabilize inorganic and organic pigment. It deflocculates and stabilizes pigments thus prevents flooding and floating in pigment blends. It imparts increased gloss, color strength, transparency or hiding power, and reduced millbase viscosity. It improves flow properties and allows higher pigment load. It is suitable for PVDF systems, acid-catalyzed and acid-curable coating systems. DISPERBYK® -170 TF is designed for industrial coatings and particularly coil coatings. Its recommended dosage level for inorganic pigment is 10-20%, titanium dioxide is 5-6%, organic pigment is 35-70% and carbon black is 70-140%. It has a shelf life of 60 months.
