BYK® -SILCLEAN 3701

BYK® -SILCLEAN 3701 by BYK is epoxy-functional polydimethylsiloxane. Acts as a silicone-containing surface additive for epoxy resin systems. Permanent effect as a result of cross-linking in the system. It increases the hydrophobic and oleophobic properties, which reduces dirt adhesion and improves cleanability (easy-to-clean effect). BYK® -SILCLEAN 3701 has no foam-stabilizing properties, which means there is no need to use defoamers. The additive improves substrate wetting, leveling, surface slip and water resistance (reduction in carbamate formation) of epoxy resin systems. Is suitable for conventional epoxy-, high-solids epoxy-, solvent-free epoxy-, 2K-PUR- and aqueous systems. Recommended dosage is 0.05-2% additive based upon the total formulation.
