BYK® 313

Polyester-modified polydimethylsiloxane solution. Acts as a highly compatible silicone surface additive with a strong reduction of surface tension of paint systems. Improves substrate wetting and prevents cratering. Offers very good anti-cratering properties, improved flow and leveling of solvent-borne systems. Provides increased gloss, strong increase in surface slip, and good heat resistance. Exhibits no thermal decomposition at temperatures between 150°C and 230°C like polyether-modified silicones do, and no loss in adhesion and no surface defects occur. Approved by FDA under 175.300. Does not contains HAPS and aromatic substance. Used for applications like can and coil coatings, industrial coatings, automotive OEM coatings, wood and furniture coatings, and in printing inks.
