Afcona -4400

Afcona -4400 by Afcona Additives is a high molecular weight, effective polymeric dispersant for stabilizing inorganic and organic pigments. It is a modified polyester polymer. It shows very good stability performance, through effective steric hindrance. It has wide compatibility from low polar to high polar systems, including nitrocellulose and thermoplastic acrylic. It offers improved gloss and DOI, and reduced flooding problems. Afcona -4400 is used in high-quality solvent-based industrial coatings and automotive topcoats. It can be diluted in butyl acetate/sec and butanol/PMA spirit. Recommended dosage level is, TiO2 2-3%, other inorganic pigments 2-4%, organic pigments 20-40%, carbon blacks 20-60%. The shelf life is 5 years.
