LB Group manufactures a wide range of high-performance TiO
2 pigments for coatings and inks. It includes
BILLIONS™ R-996 pigment. It is a durable TiO
2 pigment designed for external and internal architectural coatings. It is also suitable for
industrial and
powder coatings.
BILLIONS™ BLR-895 is a chloride-process TiO
2 pigment. It delivers brilliant whiteness with a blue undertone in external and internal
architectural coatings.
BILLIONS™ TR52 is a specialist TiO
2 pigment. It is designed specifically for printing inks.

At PAINTINDIA 2024 we’ll be promoting BILLIONS™ BLR-891 pigment. It is our latest high opacity titanium dioxide pigment for coatings. BILLIONS™ BLR-891 is manufactured using the chloride process. It exhibits outstanding dispersion, excellent opacity and tint strength. We recommend BILLIONS™ BLR-891 for a wide range of interior coatings applications including e-coatings,” said Julie Reid. She is the marketing director of LB Group Reid.

We’ll also be promoting BILLIONS™ TR53 TiO2 pigment. It is our most recent titanium dioxide pigment for inks. BILLIONS™ TR53 has been specifically designed for reverse laminate printing inks. It’s optimized to deliver excellent dispersion and high opacity in relevant resin systems,” continued Reid.

Continuous product development and customer trials facilitate the design and production of our new and improved TiO2 pigments for coatings and inks,” noted Reid.
Increase in Chloride-process TiO2 Pigment Capacity
LB Group is a Chinese chemical company. It manufactures a range of chemicals including titanium, zirconium and lithium products. LB Group has invested millions of dollars to grow its TiO
2 pigment manufacturing business. LB Group has ~1,510kt TiO
2 pigment manufacturing capacity. It produced at its six manufacturing facilities in China.
LB Group has commissioned 200kt new chloride-process TiO
2 pigment capacity at Chuxiong site in Deyang Province. It has also commissioned 100kt new chloride-process TiO
2 pigment capacity at Jiaozuo site in Hennan Province. A new 200kt TiO
2 pigment finishing plant is currently under construction at Xiangyang site in Hubei province.

We’re continuing to invest to increase our manufacturing capacity still further. We expect to have around 700kt chloride-process TiO2 pigment capacity by 2025,” added Reid. “
