Kraton Corporation will present its innovation portfolio at the European Coatings Show (ECS) 2019 at Booth #321, Hall 9 on March 19-21 in Nuremberg, Germany.
Product with Low Environmental Impact
“ECS provides a valuable platform to showcase our sustainable solutions to the high-growth coatings industry,” said Roy Gerritsen, Marketing Director, Performance Chemicals. “Our world-class bio-refineries and diversified portfolio ensure high supply security and excellent quality with low environmental impact.”
Kraton will introduce SYLFAT™ 2LC Exp Tall Oil Fatty Acid (TOFA) at the tradeshow. Designed for architectural coating applications, this new product provides high gloss, low initial color and excellent yellowing-in-the-dark performance. These benefits enable alkyd binder and paint formulators to achieve light color and color stability as well as enhanced scratch and corrosion resistance for longer-lasting aesthetics. The 100 percent biobased TOFA offers significantly lower carbon footprint compared to other vegetable oil-based substitutes currently in use, allowing formulators to significantly reduce carbon dioxide emission. TOFA is also a non-food raw material.
