Arkema will highlight new technologies and advancements at PaintIndia 2024. It is aimed at increasing circularity, energy efficiency, decarbonization and living comfort through more sustainable paint and coating solutions. PaintIndia 2024 will take place from February 22nd - 24th at the Bombay Exhibition Center in Mumbai, India. Arkema will be available at Booth #D4, Hall 1.
Offering Sustainable Coating Solutions
Arkema develops waterborne technologies with
bio-based raw materials and low-carbon feedstock. This includes -
- Synaqua® bio-based waterborne resins with up to 97% renewable-based content: It combines the performance properties of alkyd-based coatings with the advantages of water-based formulations. This innovation enhances paint performance by reducing the emission of hazardous substances and minimizing the carbon footprint
- Crayvallac® performance bio-additives: It combines performance & sustainability with its castor derivatives and bio-based polyamide additives. It has a bio-content from 60 up to 100%. These rheology modifiers contribute to improve circularity. It also promotes the use of non-fossil feedstocks
Arkema will also progressively introduce
powder- and
acrylic-based biomass-balance solutions. It will be a complementary pathway to support the customers with drop-in high-performance solutions more circular sourcing. It’s also a pathway to reduced carbon footprint solutions.
Arkema offers a range of cool roofing technologies. It is to enhance indoor thermal comfort and reduce air conditioning consumption. These include the unique combination of two resins -
- Kynar Aquatec®: a super durable reflective paint
- Encor®: an acrylic elastomeric emulsion for waterproofing and durability with two additives
- Coapur™ PU thickeners: better compatibility and control
- Coadis™: a dispersant for improved whiteness and stability
Industries are facing rising energy costs and stricter emission regulations and are moving towards lower carbon-intensive applications. Arkema offers energy-efficient solutions with Sartomer® UV-LED and EB curing technologies. These are low VOC and low carbon-intensive coating technologies.
Reafree® powder coating resins offer formulators a wide range of high-performance products with low-temperature cure powder solutions. It reduces the carbon footprint of the end-user process.
Solutions to Lower Carbon Coating Technologies
Arkema is developing more solutions for low VOC and lower carbon coating technologies. Arkema is expanding its offer to
high-solids,
waterborne and
UV/LED/EB. The Navi Mumbai site includes a modern manufacturing unit and a dedicated laboratory. It is to provide application development and technical support in the area.
