PPG is showcasing its full array of barn and shed and building product coatings during the 2020 Frame Building Expo at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Feb. 26-28.

Outdoor-ready Coatings

The booth features a mini-shed finished with different colors of PPG AQUACRON™ 200 waterborne acrylic polyurethane coating on each of its four sidewalls. The shed will be topped by a cool metal roof protected by PPG DURASTAR™ ULTRA-COOL™ silicone-polyester coatings.

Available in a broad pallette of solid colors and semi-transparent stains, PPG Aquacron 200 coating offers building product manufacturers a high-performance alternative to value-priced alkyd and standard acrylic-enamel products. Exceptionally hard, fast-drying and ultraviolet-resistant (UV-resistant), the coating can be applied to a wide range of substrates.

PPG Durastar ULTRA-Cool Coatings

PPG Durastar ULTRA-Cool coatings are formulated with PPG’s infrared-reflective (IR-reflective) pigment technology to produce cool roof and siding panels with extended exterior durability for tough agricultural, industrial, commercial and residential building applications. Available in an array of light, medium and dark colors, the coatings also meet cool roof performance criteria for LEED®, ENERGY STAR® and the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC).

PPG is displaying these additional products at the expo:

  • PPG Aquacron 100 acrylic enamel coating for one-coat coverage of substrates such as engineered and pre-primed boards and T-111 wood siding. This coating applies easily due to its high sag resistance.
  • PPG DURAFORM™ BP (building product) coatings, which enable value-oriented protection of gutters, downspouts, flagpoles, metal fencing, awnings, metal doors and similar components. The coatings are based on a proprietary high-performance polymer developed by PPG.
