Nouryon Earns A- Score for Implementing Best Practices in Sustainability Targets

Nouryon Score Implementing Best Practices Sustainability Targets Nouryon earns a score of A- in the global CDP Climate Change category. It is to recognize Nouryon’s progress in implementing current best practices in sustainability targets, value chain engagement and opportunity disclosures.

The A- score places Nouryon above the chemical industry average score of B. This marks the third consecutive year Nouryon has engaged with CDP.

Goal: Reduce 40% Scopes 1 & 2 GHG Emissions by 2030


Nouryon aims to reduce its absolute Scopes 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 40 percent by 2030 compared to 2019. Also, Nouryon aspires to be a net-zero organization by 2050.

Our efforsts are focused on improving efficiency in our operations, transitioning our sites to electricity from renewable sources and collaborating with our value chain partners.

This leadership score from CDP confirms the progress we are making in implementing best practices towards our sustainability targets. Also, it confirms our engagement with our value chain partners and transparent disclosure of our progress,” said Vivi Hollertt, chief officer, Sustainability and Communications, Nouryon.

CDP is a global non-profit that runs the world’s environmental disclosure system for companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. CDP is considered the gold standard of environmental reporting. It maintains the most comprehensive collection of corporate environmental data in the world. Also. it is fully aligned with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
