Nordmann Distributes Kraton's Pine Chemicals & Specialty Resins for Paints in Europe

Nordmann Kraton Pine Chemicals Specialty Resins Paints Europe Nordmann expands its partnership with Kraton Corporation in the field of pine-based resin products. Nordmann now distributes Kraton's portfolio of pine chemicals and specialty resins in many European countries. The products are suitable for applications in the paints, coatings, and adhesives industries.

The European countries are Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Kosovo, Latvia and Lithuania. It also includes Luxembourg, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Expanding Territory with Distribution


Kraton manufactures pine chemicals and specialty resins based on crude tall oil (CTO) and crude sulfate turpentine (CST). The company offers bio-based alternatives. They are characterized by better performance and a lower carbon footprint than fossil-based materials. Kraton leverages the symbiosis between forestry and manufacturing. This is to develop sustainable solutions that can be found in everyday products.

Nordmann will distribute a wide range of products for the paints, coatings, and adhesives industry in the expanded territory. It ranges from resins, dispersions, hot melt polyamides, special esters, and terpenes to rosin soaps. With this expansion, Nordmann offers its customers an even more diverse selection of innovative ingredients.

Products at a Glance:


  • Dispersions: Offer a wide range of possible applications, with good compatibility to natural and synthetic latex in pressure-sensitive and non-pressure-sensitive adhesives, sealants and coatings
  • Styrenated terpenes: Ideal for demanding formulations of adhesives and coatings. It exhibits excellent adhesion and flexibility
  • Rosin esters: First choice as a tackifier. For example, in hot melt, water-based or solvent-based adhesives. It is suitable for packaging, woodworking, and PSA applications

  • AMS phenolic resins: Characterized by their high-temperature resistance and chemical stability
  • Hot melt polyamides: Have excellent adhesion and melt stability for applications in the adhesives and packaging industry
  • Polyterpene resins: Provide excellent tack and peel for pressure-sensitive adhesives
  • Upgraded rosins: Offers improved properties such as adhesion and weather resistance for a wide range of applications
