Bio based Hyperdispersants Series UBE USDA Certification UBE announces that UBEDISP® hyperdispersants have earned the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) certified bio-based product label, being able to display a unique USDA label that highlights its percentage of bio-based content ranging from 79 to 95%.

UBEDISP® hyperdispersants series are bio-based, 100% active polymeric wetting and dispersant additives designed for solvent-borne and solvent-free printing inks and coatings for stabilizing inorganic particles, such as pigments, fillers, metallic nanoparticles among others.

Goals of Bio Preferred Program

A third-party verification for the product's bio-based content has been administered through the USDA Bio Preferred Program, an initiative created by the 2002 Farm Bill (and recently reauthorized by the 2018 Farm Bill). One of the goals of the Bio Preferred Program is to increase the development, purchase and use of bio-based products.

UBEDISP® hyperdispersants are designed for solvent-borne and solvent-free printing inks and coatings, providing a viscosity reduction and a robust stabilization against sedimentation through a unique steric stabilization mechanism and an excellent dispersion of inorganic particles, resulting an improved dispersion and better rheological behavior even at pigment high loadings.
