Newer Waterborne Resins for Industrial Coatings are Most Relevant in Resin Technology

SpecialChem / Feb 1, 2014

The voting results for December 2013 demonstrate a significant increase in our members' interest in developing resin technology that meets the new challenges for the coating industry. In December 2013, SpecialChem asked the following question: Which main trend in resin technology is most relevant to you? This question received 378 votes, more than double the 181 votes this question received when previously asked in October 2011. Newer waterborne resins for industrial coatings received 45.2% of the votes, the most of any technology. This vote of 45.2% was a significant increase over the 34.5% of the votes newer waterborne resins received in our October 2011 Click'N'Vote. The increased interest in waterborne resins appears to be the result of a significant drop in interest for hybrid resins.
