Formulators Require More than One Additive to Achieve Optimum Coating Performance

Additives enhance the overall properties of coating formulations including adhesion, abrasion resistance, pigment dispersion, film formation, film aesthetics, liquid flow, storage stability, and film durability. The concentration of a single additive used in a coating can range from about 0.1 to 2%. Most formulations require more than one additive to achieve optimum coating performance.
