Short-oil non-drying alkyd based on saturated fatty acids. Used with nitrocellulose for manufacture of high quality modified nitrocellulose finishes for wood and paper. Offers compatibility with short and medium oil length drying and non-drying alkds, maleic resins, ketone resins, nitrocellulose and usual plasticizers. Provides fast solvent release, good yellowing resistance, recoatability for paper and wood and good pigment wetting properties. Can be used as a binder for pigment pastes and in conjunction with nitrocellulose, plasticizers, unplasticized urea formaldehyde resins and special catalyst for manufacture of one and two component acid catalysed finishes.
