VINNOL® E 15/48 M

Terpolymer of vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and a dicarboxylic acid. Used as a physically drying binder for surface coating compounds and printing inks. Provides very good toughness, permanent flexibility, abrasion resistance, low swelling in the presence of water, and low gas permeability. Offers very good adhesion to smooth substrates such as metals, particularly aluminium, to glass and PVC, and to absorbent, po-rous substrates such as paper, cardboard, textiles and concrete. Gives high resistance to water, oil, grease, dilute aqueous acids, alkalis and saline solutions, aliphatic hydrocarbons such as white spirit, and to alcohols. Produces highly flexible films. Applications: metallic paints, paper and film coatings, heat-sealable lacquers and printing inks.
