DXV.4229 by Alberdingk Boley is a specialized biocide-free binder designed for the paint and coatings industry. It is environmentally preferred for having no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It contains water glass (sodium silicate) which helps in increasing the pH and stabilized hydrophobic polymer based on VeoVa vinyl ester. The vinyl ester provides both alkaline and water resistance, while the water glass ensures good water vapor diffusion. DXV.4229 is suitable for use in indoor and outdoor paints and plasters, water-based industrial paints.
