PLEXTOL™ D 509

PLEXTOL™ D 509 by Synthomer is an aqueous dispersion of a methacrylic ester-acrylic ester copolymer. The dispersion contains an anionic/non-ionic emulsifier system and is free from film forming aids, solvents and plasticizers. It is particularly stable against electrolytes and saponification resistant. Above minimum film forming temperature, PLEXTOL™ D 509 forms a clear, tack-free film. With its addition, plasticity and wet adhesion and consequently workability of mortars are improved. It improves flexural strength, adhesion, abrasion resistance, shrink/swell behavior, water resistance and chemical resistance of the mortars. It is used in PCC-mortars in general, plasters for trowel applications, primers, sealers, floor screeds, self-levelling compounds, industrial floorings. It is preserved against bacterial and fungal attack. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
