Cyclohexanone-formaldehyde resin. It is neutral, light in color and inert to saponification. Possesses good pigment-wetting properties resulting in excellent gloss even at high pigmentation. Has high hydroxyl value which gives good thickening effect leading to quick setting after drying. Can dissolve readily in alcohol (except methanol), ketones (except acetone), ester and in low chlorinated hydrocarbons. Imparts gloss, enhances adhesion, increases solids content and improves drying properties. Applicable for nitrocellulose paints, vinyl chloride copolymer systems, flexographic and gravure printing inks, and varnish paints for surface treatment of wood, metal and paper.
