CHS-Alkyd S 622 W 55

An air-drying alkyd resin-polyester of pentaerythritol and phthalic acid modified by 62% soyabean oil fatty acids, delivered as low viscous 55% solution in white spirit. Used as a binder for solventborne coatings applications for manufacturing of air drying topcoats for wood and metal surfaces, architectural paints for exterior and interior. Exhibits solubility in xylene, toluene, butyl acetate, white spirit, esters, glycol ethers and esters, and miscibility with long oil length alkyd resins, maleic resins and amino resins, limited with medium and short oil length alkyd resins. Its shelf life is 12 months.
