SiliXan® W 550- 15/ AB

SiliXan® W 550- 15/ AB by SiliXan is a hydrophilic inorganic-organic polymer based on nanoscaled silicon dioxide, containing aliphatic epoxy group. It can be diluted with water, water-miscible alcohols (ethanol, isopropanol) and glycol ether (butyl glycol, 1-methoxy-2-propanol, dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether). It is miscible with water compatible coating raw materials such as resins and binders based on isocyanates, epoxy, polyester or acrylate polyol, silicone or melamine. It is cured thermally at temperatures between 80 and 200°C for 5 to 30 minutes depending on the co-crosslinker and catalyst. It can be combined with aqueous isocyanates, polyols or epoxides. SiliXan® W 550- 15/ AB is used in the formulation of anti-fog coatings or adhesion primers for metals. Complies with EINECS, TSCA (USA), ENCS (Japan) and REACH regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006. The shelf life of the product is 6 months.
