SiliXan® W 125

SiliXan® W 125 by SiliXan is an UV stable, nano-scaled silicon dioxide polymer containing aliphatic epoxy group. It can be diluted with water, water-miscible alcohols (ethanol, isopropanol) and glycol ether (butyl glycol, 1-methoxy-2-propanol, dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether). It is miscible with water compatible coating raw materials such as resins and binders based on isocyanates, epoxy, polyester or acrylate polyol, silicone or melamine. It is cured thermally at temperatures between 80 and 200°C for 5 to 30 minutes depending on the co-crosslinker and SiliXan Cat 100 catalyst. Shows compatibility with can be combined with isocyanates and polyols to formulate weather- & abrasion resistant wood and industrial coatings with multifunctional properties. SiliXan® W 125 can be used as binder for the formulation of thin corrosion protection clear coats for aluminium with high hardness (pencil hardness up to 9H). Complies with EINECS, TSCA (USA), ENCS (Japan) and REACH regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006. The shelf life of the product is 6 months.
