SiliXan® W 120

SiliXan® W 120 by SiliXan is an epoxy modified polymer based on nano-scaled silicon dioxide. Improve abrasion resistance and protect against corrosion on steel or on aluminium. It can be diluted with water, water-miscible alcohols (ethanol, isopropanol) and glycol ether (butyl glycol, 1-methoxy-2-propanol, dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether). It is miscible with water compatible coating raw materials such as resins and binders based on isocyanates, epoxy, polyester or acrylate polyol, silicone or melamine. It is cured thermally at temperatures between 80 and 200°C for 5 to 30 minutes depending on the co-crosslinker and SiliXan Cat 100 catalyst. SiliXan® W 120 can be used as binder or as additive in epoxy, melamine resin or blocked isocyanate systems. Complies with EINECS, TSCA (USA), ENCS (Japan), IECSC (China) and REACH regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006. The shelf life of the product is 6 months.
