SiliXan® U 130

SiliXan® U 130 by SiliXan is a silane modified urethane acrylate. It can be diluted with can be thinned with esters, ether esters, alcohols, xylene and toluene. It is insoluble in water and benzene. It is miscible with the usual coating raw materials such as resins and binders based on isocyanates, polyester or acrylate polyols, silicone or melamine types. It can be cured at temperatures between 140°C and 200°C or shortly at 250°C with tailor-made crosslinking catalysts (SiliXan® Cat 100 or 160) or with standard additives such as blocked acids, amines, compounds of Ti or Zr. SiliXan® U 130 is used as a binder for the formulation of high quality UV stable clear coats or pigmented coatings, especially directly adherent hard coatings (pencil hardness 5-7H) for aluminium. It is also used as a co-binder to improve the abrasion resistance and film hardness of solvent-based polyurethane, epoxy, melamine or silicone resin systems. Complies with EINECS, TSCA (USA), ENCS (Japan) and REACH regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006. The shelf life of the product is 6 months.
