SiliXan® M 550

SiliXan® M 550 by SiliXan is a polymer based on silicone with unsaturated methacrylic groups. Exhibits good transparency, low yellowing tendency, and high chemical- & stain resistance. Provides increased adhesion to glass or metals in UV-curing formulations after weathering or chemical stress is improved. A thermal or peroxide curing is also possible. It is diluted in polar solvents like alcohol, esters, ketones or organic acrylate monomers. It is insoluble in water. Shows good compatibility with amino acrylates like ACMO. SiliXan® M 550 is used as a co-binder or as an additive to conventional acrylate or methacrylate based of varnishes, paints, solvent-free or high-solid coatings. Complies with EINECS, TSCA (USA), ENCS (Japan) and REACH regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006. Recommended dosage level should be between 5 and 40 % weight on total formulation. The shelf life of the product is 6 months.
