X-40-9227 by Shin-Etsu is a low molecular weight, methyl/phenyl type silicone oligomer. It exhibits excellent water repellency & cure speed. It can be used together with curing agents to produce coatings that are cured at ambient temperatures and humidities. It imparts flexibility. It is suitable for 2-part room temperature moisture cure coatings. It is recommended for exterior automotive coatings and interior floor coatings. It offers heat resistance, weatherability and electrical insulation. X-40-9227 is TSCA listed.
