VAMA Vinyl Resin

Carboxyl modified vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymers. A high molecular weight resin containing approximately 86 percent vinyl chloride, 13 percent vinyl acetate, and 1 percent maleic acid. Because of the carboxyl functional group, VAMA has excellent adhesion on metal, especially on aluminum foil, the resin foil also has a good adhesion on PVC, ABS, paper, textiles, beton, etc. At the same time, VAMA has good water resistance, excellent oil, ester, acid, alkali and salt water solution resistance. It has applications in marine and metal coatings, aluminium foil varnishes, cans sealed paints, floor paints, cement paints, silk screen printing and transfer ink. It also can be used in heat sealing packaging coatings, electro-chemical aluminium paints.
