RANBAR® 1488

RANBAR® 1488 by Hunstman is a vinyl toluene alkyd copolymer that contains linseed oil. Used in the manufacture of fast air-drying machinery enamels and primers. It offers good film hardness, fair to poor flexibility and good early water resistance. To improve the mar resistance of the coating, approximately 10% melamine resin is added and cured for 20 minutes at 250°F. RANBAR® 1488 is applicable in traffic marking paints, aerosol enamels & primers, hammertone finishes, electrical insulating paints, drum enamels, furniture and flat board finishes.
