Elvacite® 4044

Butyl methacrylate and methyl methacrylate copolymer. It is a medium molecular weight resin exhibiting softness and flexibility. Possesses solubility in acetone, toluene, methyl ethyl ketone and dimethyl carbonate. Used in varnishes, screen printing inks for ceramic- and glass decorative transfers, ceramic cover-coats, masonry coatings & sealers for wood and weather resistant coatings for plastic substrates. Applications include heat seal lacquers and inks for aluminum, PS and PVC foils. Complies with FDA, TSCA, DSL, EINECS, ENCS, PICCS, KECI, AICS and IECSC.
