KURARAY LIR-30

KURARAY LIR-30 by Kuraray is a liquid rubber based on isoprene homopolymer. It can function as a reactive plasticizer but have a far higher molecular weight than normal plasticizers. It is a high-viscosity synthetic rubber grade. It is colorless, transparent and odorless with low VOC. Its low glass transition temperature (Tg) improves low-temperature properties. It is co-vulcanizable with solid rubber such as NR, SBR, BR, IR and IIR. During the rubber compounding phase, it significantly reduces processing time while maintaining the rubber compounds’ physical properties. It results in a product with lower processing costs. KURARAY LIR-30 finds applications in marine coatings.
