SYLVATAL™ D40LR Distilled Tall Oil

SYLVATAL™ D40LR Distilled Tall Oil by KRATON is a tall oil alkyd resin. It contains high tall oil rosins and low saturated fatty acid content. It is recommended for use in varnishes. This grade shows low viscosity and monocarboxylic acid functionality. It is compatible with other liquid fatty acids and vegetable oils. It is soluble in alcohols, aromatics, esters and ketones, while it is insoluble in water. Hard, water-resistant alkyd resins are produced due to the high rosin content in SYLVATAL™ D40LR Distilled Tall Oil. The shelf-life of this grade is 12 months.
