Araldite® ECN 1280

Epoxy cresol novolac resin. It is derived from an ortho cresol-formaldehyde novolac which is then reacted with epichlorohydrin to form polyepoxide. Exhibits solubility in acetone, PMA, toluene-MIBK, xylene-MIBK, toluene, chloroform and ethylene chloride. Recommended in applications where improved thermal properties and high resistance to solvents and chemicals are desired including high temperature coatings like fluidized bed coatings.
