EPIKOTE™ Resin 246 by Westlake Epoxy is a low viscosity, epoxy resin. It is based on a blend of a bisphenol A resin (produced from bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin) and a bisphenol F resin (produced from bisphenol F and epichlorohydrin). It also contains an added proportion of a difunctional epoxidized alcohol as reactive diluent. It has low volatility, good pigment/filler and substrate wetting. This grade imparts very good mechanical performance. EPIKOTE™ Resin 246 is used in coatings.
