DOMALKYD 1685 75 D-40 by Helios Resins (Helios Group) is a sunflower oil modified alkyd resin. It is supplied as 74-76 % in dearomatized white spirit D-40. It offers good flow, brushability, fullness and non-yellowing properties. DOMALKYD 1685 75 D-40 is compatible with natural & polymerized oils, medium & long oil alkyd resins and colophonium modified maleic resins. It is suitable for general purpose binders and enamels for metals & woods for indoor and outdoor applications. It is soluble in aromatic, aliphatic & terpene hydrocarbons, esters, higher ketones and glycol ethers. This grade is insoluble in lower ketones & alcohols. It remains stable for 24 months if stored in its original packs in a dry place at a temperature below 25°C.
