Phenoxy PK™ HW-34

Phenoxy PK™ HW-34 by Huntsman is a waterborne, anionically-stabilized, colloidal dispersion of phenoxy resin. It is a tough, ductile, amorphous, thermoplastic polymer that exhibits excellent thermal stability, good adhesive strength and very good vapor barrier properties. It offers excellent flexibility and surface hardness. It can be crosslinked by reacting its hydroxyl functional groups with isocyanates, melamine resins and phenolic resins. It is compatible with waterborne polyurethanes and acrylics at pH greater than 6.5 and incompatible with acidic materials. It contains less than 8% volatile organic compounds and dimethylethanolamine by weight. Phenoxy PK™ HW-34 is recommended for thermoset coatings and plural component coatings. It complies with TSCA, DSL, PICCS, AICS, ENCS/MITI and IECSC regulations. It meets 21 CFR 175.300 US FDA requirements for use in food contact and packaging applications. Its shelf life is of 1 year.
