5026-M-50 by Huntsman is a medium oil alkyd resin. Based on the tall oil fatty acid (TOFA). It is typically modified with 40-55% oil content. This resin dries faster than the long oil alkyds. Its typical solvent system is aliphatic solvent. It accepts infinite dilution with aliphatic solvents. Offers tack-free times of 1-3 hrs. for air drying and a good combination of hardness as well as flexibility. Also provides good durability as well as gloss retention. It can be used in brush or spray applications. 5026-M-50 is suitable for porch as well as deck enamels, interior/exterior trim paints, truck finishes, machinery enamels, furniture finishes, trade sale varnishes, dry fog coatings and traffic marking paints.
