Rosin Modified Phenolic Resin 2190

Rosin modified phenolic resin. It is the vacuum treated product of esterification of glycerol (or pentaerythrite) with the polycondensate of rosin, phenol (or bisphenol A) and formaldehyde. It has high softening point and provides fast drying. It is soluble in tar, ester, turpentine oil and similar solvents. It is insoluble in alcoholic solvents, partially soluble in petroleum products and mix well with vegetable oils. Used in phenolic resin paints and texture printing inks.
