VESTALITE® P 342

VESTALITE® P 342 by Evonik is non-toxic & VOC-free polyurethane-based resin intended for prepreg impregnation. It provides room temperature stable, fast curable, dry & non-tacky prepregs, which can be formed thermoplastically at 70-100°C and cured at 150-180°C. The prepreg is suitable for local reinforcement of metal structure by fast prepreg compression molding process due to high adhesion & flexibility. It offers excellent toughness & ductility and high adhesion on automotive steel & aluminum grades. It also offers low exothermic reaction which can be specifically stopped and re-started. Post-curing can be integrated into dip coating process. VESTALITE® P 342 is designed for reinforcement patches for stiffening metallic structural automotive parts. Its shelf life is 6 weeks at 23°C.
