TEGO® Variplus DS 50

TEGO® Variplus DS 50 by Evonik is an anionic dispersion of a polyurethane polyol resin. Used as a co-binder, dispersion of a hard resin for waterborne formulations in pigment concentrates, industrial coatings, wood and furniture coatings, architectural coatings and leather coatings. Offers improved hardness, gloss and blocking resistance. Exhibits improved pigment wetting and stabilization. Possesses strong reduction of the grind viscosity. Provides very good water resistance. Imparts increased drying speed. Improves adhesion on many plastics, e.g. PC, ABS, PS, PA, PMMA, PVC, Noryl. Increases not only solids content and accelerates touch drying but also improves numerous properties such as hardness, gloss and film build. It can be used as pigment concentrate resins for the most diverse pigments which enables very good gloss to be obtained at very high pigment loading. TEGO® Variplus DS 50 has a shelf life of 30 months. It is recommended at a dosage of 10-30 %.
