DEGALAN® VP P 34

DEGALAN® VP P 34 by Roehm is a bead polymer based on methyl methacrylate and n-butyl methacrylate. It is a heat-sealing binder. The film formed dries physically on solvent evaporation. It is easily soluble in ethyl acetate, a commonly used, highly volatile solvent. It is blendable with petroleum hydrocarbons and alcohols. It is compatible with nitrocellulose, chlorinated rubber, vinyl polymers, cellulose acetobutyrate, maleinate resins and phthalate plasticizers. It offers direct adhesion to aluminum foils without any need for PVC-based adhesion promoters. It is used in the production of heat-sealing lacquers for packaging coatings. DEGALAN® VP P 34 complies with food regulations.
