Silcolease® UV Poly 235

Silcolease® UV Poly 235 by Elkem Silicones is a 100% reactive, low release, UV/EB curable, monocomponent epoxy-functional silicone polymer. Exhibits fast cure response, room temperature processing, adhesion promotion, low sensitivity to longer wave length radiation, no oxygen inhibition and process simplicity. Offers high production rates, moisture retention, low levels of silicone extractables and compatibility with a wide range of substrates. Shows targeting of release force requirements, long catalyzed bath life in ambient light and no requirement of inerting. Rapid cure is achieved by simply passing the coating under high-intensity ultraviolet light (medium pressure mercury vapor bulbs) or under electron beam irradiation. Silcolease® UV Poly 235 is suitable for use in solventless paper and film coatings.
