ELVAX™ 40W

ELVAX™ 40W by DOW is an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin. It contains 40wt% vinyl acetate comonomer content, "W" amide additive and slip and BHT antioxidant to be used as a thermal stabilizer. It imparts very good water vapor & gas barrier properties, toughness, flexibility and very good adhesion to non-porous surfaces. It offers compatibility with a broader range of polar resins including nitrocellulose. It is suitable for solvent-applied, wire coating and industrial applications. ELVAX™ 40W can be used as a resin base for flexible, heat-sealable and hot melt coatings. Complies with FDA regulation 21 CFR 177.1350(a)(1).
