HYDRHOLAC™ UD-2

HYDRHOLAC™ UD-2 by Dow Chemical is a dull aqueous dispersion of a fully reacted aliphatic polyurethane polymer. It is designed as a matting agent in aqueous topcoat systems for automotive leather. Generally crosslinked with isocyanate resins, HYDRHOLAC™ UD-2 yields continuous dry films characterized by medium-to-high tensile strength, good flexibility, and noteworthy color stability. HYDRHOLAC™ UD-2 can be formulated with binders produce matte finishes with excellent application and physical properties. The key attributes of finishes formulated with HYDRHOLAC™ UD-2 include excellent abrasion resistance, toughness, superior lightfastness, heat fastness, excellent recoatability, excellent cold crack resistance and soft surface feel. It is supplied as a low-viscosity liquid that is easy to handle and formulate.
