SMA® 2000I by Cray Valley (Total Group) is a low molecular weight styrene and dimethylaminopropylamine maleimide copolymer with an approximately 2:1 mole ratio. It has exceptional thermal stability and has been shown to improve the dispersion of various clays, including nanoclays. It is cationic in solution and exhibits water resistance and heat stability. It is suitable for paints, pigment dispersions, wood- and paper coatings.
